Turkey Burgers with Chutney

Quick and delicious burgers on soft buns with fresh lettuce, ready in 15 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground turkey breast
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns, split
  • 4 leaves green leaf lettuce
  • 1/3 cup cranberry chutney
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped fresh peach
  • 1 medium green onion, finely chopped (1 tablespoon)
Instructions:
  • Combine ground turkey, egg white, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Form the mixture into 4 1/2-inch-thick patties.
  • Prepare a 12-inch skillet with cooking spray and heat it over medium heat. Place patties in the skillet and cook for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping once, until a meat thermometer inserted in the center reads 165°F.
  • Mix chutney ingredients in a small bowl until thoroughly combined.
  • Arrange lettuce and burgers on the bottom buns. Top each burger with 2 tablespoons of chutney. Finish by placing the top buns on each burger.
