Savory potato pancakes with instant potatoes, onions, and cheese - a quick and tasty recipe using ready-made ingredients.
Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup instant mashed potato flakes
  • 0.33333334326744 cup complete dry pancake mix
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • Mix potato flakes, pancake mix, onion, Cheddar cheese, milk, egg, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper in a bowl until fully combined.
  • Prepare a griddle or large skillet by greasing it and heating it over medium heat. Pour 1/4 cup of pancake batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until the edges look dry and a bubble appears in the center, approximately 3 minutes. Flip the pancakes and continue cooking until the other side is browned, for about 3 more minutes.
