"Simply divine biscuits made with only 8 ingredients, ready in just 30 minutes. Perfect for a delightful afternoon treat!"
Ingredients:
  • 150g (1 cup) plain flour, sifted
  • 90g (1 cup) instant oats
  • 160g (1 cup, lightly packed) brown sugar
  • 2.50 gm ground cinnamon
  • 2.50 gm bicarbonate of soda
  • 120g butter, chopped
  • 27.00 gm maple syrup
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C and line 2 baking trays with non-stick baking paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, oats, sugar, and cinnamon until mixed thoroughly.
  • In a small bowl, mix water and bicarbonate of soda. In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine butter and maple syrup. Stir until butter melts. Mix in the bicarbonate of soda mixture. Add this to the flour mixture and stir until well combined.
  • Roll heaped teaspoonfuls of the mixture into balls and place them 5cm apart on lined trays. Bake in the oven for 12 minutes or until golden. Let them cool slightly on the trays for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
