Savory griddled bread, a family favorite for any meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1.5 cups rolled oats
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 0.5 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons applesauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter, softened
Instructions:
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour and baking powder by sifting. Mix in the remaining ingredients until well combined.
  • Preheat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat. Pour or scoop 1/4 cup of batter for each cake onto the griddle. Cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook the other side. Serve warm with syrup or jam.
