Elevate your pound cake with indulgent almond paste and zesty orange juice.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pound butter, softened
  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 3 ounces marzipan
  • 6 eggs
  • 0.33333334326744 cup half-and-half
  • 0.33333334326744 cup milk
  • 0.33333334326744 cup orange juice
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a cozy 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 10-inch tube pan.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl and whisk until well mixed.
  • Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy in a bowl. Incorporate marzipan, then add eggs one at a time, ensuring thorough mixing after each addition. Finish by beating in half-and-half into the mixture.
  • Mix 1 cup of flour into the butter mix, then stir in milk. Add another cup of flour and mix with milk. Stir in the remaining flour, then add the orange juice. Scrape the bowl's sides, give the batter a final stir, and pour it into the tube pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 90 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 to 20 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
