Tangy orange-marinated turkey drumsticks, perfect for year-round enjoyment.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained with liquid reserved
  • 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 turkey drumsticks
  • salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Blend together fresh orange segments, vinegar, and brown sugar until smooth. Pour this mixture into a large resealable plastic bag. Add the reserved mandarin orange juice and oil. Place turkey drumsticks in the bag, seal it, and marinate in the fridge for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  • Lay the marinated turkey drumsticks on a baking sheet, then sprinkle with salt for seasoning.
  • Bake covered for 30 minutes in a preheated oven. Uncover, baste frequently with the remaining orange mixture, and bake for another hour until reaching an internal temperature of 180°F (80°C).
