Delicious overnight French toast bake with sweet topping and optional walnuts, ideal for a relaxed family brunch.
Ingredients:
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 12 slices French bread
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1.3333333730698 cups brown sugar
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
Instructions:
  • Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon for a delightful mixture.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch pan and arrange the bread slices in it. Pour the egg mixture over the bread. Cover the pan and refrigerate for 8 hours to overnight.
  • Allow the ingredients to come to room temperature for optimal baking results and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Combine the rich flavors of brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup until thick. Generously spread over the bread and top with a sprinkle of walnuts for an irresistible finish.
