Slow-cooked chicken and rice in a rich creamy onion-mushroom sauce, topped with Parmesan.
Ingredients:
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup converted long-grain white rice
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese for topping
  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Combine the flavors of onion soup mix, creamy milk, decadent cream of mushroom soup, and fluffy rice in a medium bowl.
  • Gently arrange chicken breasts in a lightly greased slow cooker. Top each breast with a tablespoon of margarine, then pour over the soup mixture. Season with salt and pepper, and finish with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Slow cook for 8 to 10 hours on Low, or 4 to 6 hours on High.
