Savory peach cobbler with melted jalapeno Jack cheese topping.
Ingredients:
  • 6 cups peeled and sliced fresh peaches
  • 1.75 cups white sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or to taste
  • 1 cup shredded jalapeno Jack cheese
Instructions:
  • Warm up your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a bowl, gently toss peaches with 1 cup of sugar until well coated; set aside. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, milk, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • 1. In a 9x13-inch glass baking dish, spread melted butter evenly. 2. Sprinkle flour mixture over the melted butter. 3. Arrange peaches on top of the flour. 4. Generously sprinkle with cinnamon. 5. Finish with a sprinkle of shredded cheese.
  • Bake until the filling is bubbly and the cheese is golden brown, approximately 1 hour in the preheated oven.
