Easy 3-ingredient peach jam recipe preserves sweet peach flavor year-round.
Ingredients:
  • 12 fresh peaches, pitted and chopped
  • 4.5 cups white sugar
  • 1 (2 ounce) package dry pectin
Instructions:
  • Begin by gently crushing 1 cup of chopped peaches in the bottom of a large saucepan. Add the rest of the peaches and place the pan over medium-low heat. Allow the mixture to come to a soft boil and simmer until the peaches break down into a luscious liquid with some delightful peach pieces remaining, which should take around 20 minutes.
  • Transfer the cooked peaches into a bowl. Measure out 6 cups of the peaches and return them to the pan. Add sugar and bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Slowly incorporate the dry pectin and boil for 1 minute.
  • 1. Remove the jam from the heat and carefully fill hot, sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch of space at the top. Run a clean knife or thin spatula along the inside of the jars to release any air bubbles. Use a moist paper towel to wipe the rims clean.
  • Position a rack in the bottom of a large stockpot and fill halfway with water. Bring to a boil and gently place jars 2 inches apart into the boiling water using a holder. Add additional boiling water to cover jars by at least 1 inch. Bring to a rolling boil, cover, and process for 10 minutes. Carefully take out jars from stockpot, allow jam to cool, then store on a shelf in a cool, dark place.
