Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 10 Italian plums, halved and pitted
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease and flour a 7x11-inch baking dish.
  • Combine 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons butter in a bowl, then use an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Mix in eggs, 1 cup flour, baking powder, salt, and vanilla. Transfer batter to baking dish and top with plums, skin side-down.
