Refreshing Plum Sorbet with sliced plums, lemon juice, sugar, and a hint of Grand Marnier.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 cups of sliced plums, pits removed
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon of Grand Marnier, optional)
Instructions:
  • In a blender, combine sliced plums, sugar, lemon juice, and salt. Blend until smooth.
  • Strain the solids: Press the plum puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove any large pieces of skin and discard them.
  • Add the Grand Marnier to the purée right before churning in the ice cream maker. Process in the ice cream machine following the manufacturer's instructions for about 25 minutes.
  • For immediate enjoyment, or for a chillier treat, place in an airtight container and freeze for two hours to solidify.
