Elevate your pork stir-fry with a tangy homemade plum marinade.
Ingredients:
  • 500g pork leg steaks, thinly sliced
  • 36.40 gm peanut oil
  • 1 brown onion, halved, cut into wedges
  • 1 bunch broccolini, trimmed, chopped
  • 500.00 ml shredded wombok (Chinese cabbage)
  • 3 green onions, cut into 5cm lengths
  • 51.60 gm plum sauce
  • Steamed jasmine rice, to serve
  • 106.43 gm plum sauce
  • 1 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
  • 5.00 gm ground ginger
Instructions:
  • Create a flavorful marinade by blending together plum sauce, Chinese five spice powder, ground ginger, and garlic cloves in a jug.
  • In a glass or ceramic bowl, combine pork and marinade. Mix well to ensure all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • In a hot wok or large frying pan, brown the pork in batches in half of the oil until cooked through. Remove and set aside in a bowl.
  • Heat the remaining oil in a wok, then add the brown onion and stir-fry for 1 minute until softened. Add the broccolini and stir-fry for 2 minutes until just tender. Return the pork and its juices to the wok, then add the cabbage, green onion, and plum sauce. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until the cabbage just starts to wilt. Serve with rice.
