Creamy onions paired with broiled sausages are bursting with flavor, perfect with mashed potatoes.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 4 onions, thinly sliced
  • 0.5 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 4 links pork sausage
Instructions:
  • 1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle in salt and sugar. Lower the heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 20 minutes. Stir in flour, then pour in the broth. Stir and cover with a slightly open lid, simmering for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven broiler.
  • Arrange sausages on a broiling pan and broil until dark brown and cooked through, turning occasionally, approximately 20 minutes. Drizzle sausages with onion sauce before serving.
