Chicken breast in praline pecan glaze with a sweet and spicy Creole kick.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into strips
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 teaspoons Creole seasoning
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare the casserole dish by greasing it lightly.
  • Coat chicken strips in flour by pressing them gently into a shallow bowl, then tap off any extra flour.
  • Coat the floured chicken in the egg, then coat it again with flour for extra crispiness.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chicken strips in vegetable oil until golden brown and fully cooked inside, about 5 minutes per side. Place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and add brown sugar, maple syrup, pecans, and Creole seasoning. Bring it to a boil and cook for 1 minute.
  • Arrange the chicken strips in the casserole dish and generously coat them with the irresistible praline sauce, ensuring every piece is perfectly covered.
  • Bake in the hot oven until the sauce is bubbling, about 10-15 minutes.
