Indulge in spooky spiderweb cupcakes using Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ white cake mix and fluffy white frosting for a delightful Halloween treat for your loved ones.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ White Cake Mix (or other flavor)
  • Water, vegetable oil and egg whites or eggs called for on cake mix box
  • Betty Crocker™ orange gel food color
  • 2 tubs (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • 1 tube (0.68 oz) Betty Crocker™ black decorating gel
  • Plastic spiders (for decoration)
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and line 24 regular-size muffin cups with paper baking cups.
  • Prepare and bake the cake mix according to the instructions on the box to make 24 cupcakes. Allow them to cool for 10 minutes, then carefully remove from the pans onto a cooling rack. Let them cool completely for about 30 minutes before enjoying.
  • Arrange the cupcakes closely together on a large round platter or pizza pan. In a medium bowl, blend food color with frosting. Use this colorful frosting to cover the cupcakes and fill the spaces between them, forming a single large circle of frosting. Place a large dot of black gel in the center of the frosting and draw concentric circles around it, spacing them about 2 inches apart. To create the web design, drag a toothpick from the center dot to the outer edge of the circle around 12 times. Adorn the web with plastic spiders and store the masterpiece loosely covered.
