Effortless round steak with rich, flavorful gravy - a simple yet delicious dinner option.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground paprika
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 0.75 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 2 pounds beef round steak, cut into serving-size pieces
  • 0.5 cup diced onion
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • Heat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • In a resealable plastic bag, mix together flour, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. Add beef pieces a few at a time, then shake to coat evenly.
  • In a Dutch oven over medium-high heat, heat oil. Brown beef on both sides for 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer beef to a baking pan to keep warm.
  • In the same Dutch oven, sizzle the onion in the flavorful beef drippings until soft, for about 5 minutes. Introduce cream of chicken soup, beef broth, water, and pepper to the mix. Let the gravy come to a boil, then promptly take it off the heat.
  • Generously smother the succulent beef with rich gravy in the baking pan, then seal it all in with a shiny layer of aluminum foil.
  • Roast in the hot oven until soft, approximately 120 minutes.
