German-style burritos with cabbage and onions.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 pounds ground round
  • 0.5 medium head cabbage, chopped
  • 1.5 onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 (10 inch) flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until crumbly and browned. Discard excess grease. Add cabbage, onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and water. Cook until vegetables are tender and water evaporates, about 10 minutes. Heat tortillas individually in a skillet over medium heat until pliable.
  • Lay a tortilla on your work surface and spread the filling in a rectangle shape in the center. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of Cheddar cheese over it. Fold the bottom over the filling, then the left and right edges. Roll up the burrito tightly. Repeat with the rest of the ingredients.
