Spicy salsa beef on a cheesy crust for an out-of-this-world pizza experience.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 1/4 cups thick & chunky salsa
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup mild salsa-flavor or jalapeño-flavor process cheese spread
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 4 medium green onions, sliced (1/2 cup)
  • 1 cup shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese (4 ounces)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and generously grease a large cookie sheet.
  • In a 10-inch skillet, brown the beef over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once browned, drain any excess fat. Add salsa to the skillet, stir, and remove from heat.
  • Combine Bisquick, cheese spread, and hot water until a soft dough forms. Transfer the dough onto a Bisquick-dusted surface and coat with Bisquick. Shape into a ball, knead 5 times, then roll into a 14-inch circle and place on a cookie sheet.
  • Spread the savory beef mixture over the crust, leaving a 2-inch border. Top with onions, fold over the edges, and sprinkle generously with cheese.
  • Bake for 25 to 28 minutes, or until the crust is a golden brown color and the cheese is melted to perfection.
