Overnight Jimmy Dean® sausage casserole - prep ahead and bake for a hassle-free breakfast.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package Jimmy Dean® Premium Pork Regular Sausage
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder, or more to taste
  • 2 tablespoons quick-mixing all-purpose flour, or more to taste
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter, or as needed
  • 1 (10 count) package refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook sausage while breaking it apart with a spatula until fully cooked, for about 5 to 7 minutes. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, chicken bouillon, and pepper. Mix well and continue cooking for another 5 to 7 minutes until fully combined.
  • Combine quick-mixing flour with the sausage, then blend in milk until fully incorporated.
  • Bring the gravy to a simmer, stir occasionally until it thickens (5 to 7 minutes). Taste and adjust seasoning to your liking. Set aside while you make the biscuits.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), then butter a baking dish and set it aside.
  • Cut each biscuit into quarters. Place half of the biscuit pieces on the bottom of the baking dish. Cover them with gravy and then top with the remaining biscuit pieces.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the biscuits are perfectly cooked and beautifully golden brown, for about 13 to 15 minutes.
  • Allow the dish to rest for 3 to 5 minutes post-oven before serving.
