Johnsonville Italian Sausage with creamy cheese, Parmesan, lemon, and garlic make a delicious mushroom dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package Johnsonville® Ground Italian Sausage
  • 48 large fresh mushrooms
  • 0.5 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • In a skillet, sauté and break up sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through; then, drain any excess fat.
  • Separate mushroom caps from stems and line them up on baking sheets covered with foil.
  • Mix together cooked sausage, bread crumbs, cream cheese, garlic, parsley, and lemon juice in a bowl until well combined.
  • Spoon sausage mixture delicately into mushroom caps and sprinkle with cheese. Bake until mushrooms are tender and lightly browned, about 14 to 16 minutes.
