Warm up with a hearty kielbasa, potato, and cheese casserole with aromatic dill and caraway seeds. Perfect for a cozy family meal.
Ingredients:
  • 3 large baking potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 pound Polish kielbasa
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 0.25 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 0.67 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Take two sheets of aluminum foil, place one on top of the other, fold one long edge together, then open it out to create a large sheet. Line a 13x9 inch pan with the foil, ensuring the edges hang over the sides.
  • Layer the sliced potatoes in the pan, slightly overlapping. Season with pepper to your liking. Sprinkle half of the cheese on top. Cut the sausage in half crosswise and lengthwise, then place cut side down on the cheese. Add the rest of the cheese, dill weed, caraway seed, and milk. Securely seal the foil around the edges.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and bake for 1 hour.
