Tangy bourbon butter with parsley and lemon zest for rich flavor on steaks, pork chops, or biscuits.
Ingredients:
  • 4 sticks salted butter, softened, divided
  • 1 large shallot, minced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 0.75 cup bourbon
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1.5 teaspoons lemon zest
  • salt to taste
Instructions:
  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter until it turns golden brown, releasing a fragrant aroma and forming brown bits, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Saute shallot and garlic until soft, approximately 5 minutes. Whisk in bourbon and cook until reduced, about 2 to 3 minutes. Allow to cool to room temperature, around 10 minutes.
  • Mix together the 3 sticks plus 5 tablespoons of butter, parsley, and lemon zest in a mixing bowl. Pour in the cooled bourbon-butter mixture and beat with an electric mixer until creamy. Season with salt to taste.
  • Shape chilled butter into a log on waxed paper. Chill for 2 to 3 hours. Enjoy in your favorite recipes.
