Budget-friendly hamburger stroganoff that tastes gourmet without the high price tag.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cut into pieces
  • 1 (6 ounce) can chopped mushrooms, with liquid
  • 1 (.75 ounce) packet dry brown gravy mix
  • 2 (10.5 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 0.5 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rapid boil. Add egg noodles and cook until al dente, about 7 to 9 minutes. Drain well.
  • Simultaneously, brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes. Drain grease. Add cream cheese, mushrooms with liquid, and gravy mix; stir until cream cheese melts, about 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in condensed soup, sour cream, and milk; cook until smooth and creamy, around 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • After draining the egg noodles, blend them with the savory beef mixture. Cook until everything is heated through, about 2 to 3 minutes.
