Slow-Cooker Bavarian-Style Round Steak with Red Onions and Noodles

Transport your taste buds to the Old World with slow-cooked, flavorful round steak.
Ingredients:
  • 2 large red onions, cut in half and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon beef base
  • 2 1/2 pounds beef round steak, trimmed of fat and cut into serving-size portions
  • 1 tablespoon Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 package (16 ounces) wide egg noodles
Instructions:
  • In a 4- to 5-quart slow cooker, start by layering the onions followed by a sprinkle of brown sugar, vinegar, salt, and beef base. Next, add the beef on top and finish by dusting flour over the beef.
  • Slowly simmer covered on low heat for 7 to 8 hours.
  • Cook the noodles according to the package instructions and drain. Serve by pouring the onions and broth over the beef and noodles just before serving.
