Slow-Cooker Hot Buttered Rum

Effortlessly serve up crowd-pleasing slow-cooker hot buttered rum cocktails in batches for maximum enjoyment.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch ground allspice
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 8 cups hot water
  • 2 cups rum
  • Whipped cream
  • Ground nutmeg and ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Combine all Hot Buttered Rum ingredients in a slow cooker, excluding the rum. Cook on Low heat for approximately 5 hours, or until warmed through.
  • Incorporate rum into the mixture. Pour into glasses or mugs and garnish with a dollop of whipped cream, a dusting of ground nutmeg, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
