Whip up a delicious Swiss steak in minutes and let it simmer in the slow cooker all day.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced (1 cup)
  • 1 can (4 oz) mushroom pieces and stems, drained
  • 1 1/2 lb boneless beef round steak, cut into serving-size pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can (18 oz) Progresso™ Vegetable Classics creamy mushroom soup
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
Instructions:
  • In a slow cooker, create layers of onion, carrots, mushrooms, and beef. Sprinkle pepper over the beef. In a separate bowl, combine soup and tomato sauce, then pour over the beef.
  • Cover and simmer on Low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
  • Transfer the beef to a serving platter. Use a slotted spoon to remove vegetables from the cooker and top the beef with them. Whisk the gravy in the cooker to combine, then serve it with the beef.
