Slow-cook tender round steak with potatoes, carrots, onions, and tomatoes for a delicious and effortless meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 lb boneless beef round steak
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppered seasoned salt
  • 6 to 8 small red potatoes, cut into fourths
  • 1 1/2 cups ready-to-eat baby-cut carrots
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) Muir Glen™ organic diced tomatoes with Italian herbs, undrained
  • 1 jar (12 oz) beef gravy
  • Chopped fresh parsley, if desired
Instructions:
  • 1. Cut the beef into 6 serving pieces. Spray a 12-inch skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat. Season the beef with seasoned salt and cook in the skillet for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping once, until browned.
  • Begin by creating a beautiful layer in the slow cooker with potatoes, carrots, beef, and onion. In a separate medium bowl, combine tomatoes and gravy, and gently spoon this flavorful mixture over the layered ingredients in the slow cooker.
  • Cover the slow cooker and let it gently simmer on Low heat for 7 to 8 hours. After cooking, sprinkle the dish with fresh parsley for a burst of flavor. Take note that this recipe was specifically tested in slow cookers with heating elements on the side and bottom; adjust the cooking method if using a slow cooker with only a heated base according to the manufacturer's instructions.
