Smoky bourbon-marinated roasted nibble mix - the ultimate Christmas gift!
Ingredients:
  • 75g butter
  • 20.00 ml chipotle and roasted garlic dry marinade
  • 62.50 ml bourbon whiskey
  • 715.00 gm honey Crispix
  • 150g packet roasted garlic bagel chips
  • 375.00 ml pretzels
  • 3 x 25g packets mini Ritz crackers
  • 250.00 ml unsalted roasted peanuts
  • 250.00 ml pecans
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 160C/140C fan-forced and prepare 2 baking trays with baking paper.
  • In a small frying pan over medium heat, melt butter until sizzling. Add the marinade and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until it becomes aromatic. Stir in bourbon and take it off the heat.
  • Mix together honey Crispix, bagel chips, pretzels, Ritz crackers, peanuts, sugar, and pecans in a bowl. Drizzle with bourbon mixture and gently stir to coat evenly.
  • Spread mixture evenly onto prepared trays. Bake, stirring every 5 minutes, until golden brown, for 15 to 20 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.
  • Transfer the mixture into decorative jars for a lovely presentation.
