Fun and easy recipe for adorable snowman treats!
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups butter, softened (do not use margarine)
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar, white decorating sugar or white edible glitter
  • Assorted candies, if desired
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting (or your favorite flavor), if desired
  • Betty Crocker™ decorating gels (any colors), if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (or 375°F if using a dark or nonstick cookie sheet). In a large bowl, use an electric mixer on medium speed to combine butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Mix in flour and salt.
  • Form 28 balls measuring 1 1/4 inches in diameter, another 28 balls at 1 inch in diameter, and finally 28 balls at 3/4 inch in diameter. Roll each ball in granulated sugar. On an ungreased cookie sheet, assemble each snowman by placing one ball of each size (small, medium, large) in a row with sides touching, gently pressing them together. Position the snowmen 1 inch apart on the sheet.
  • Bake for 9 to 12 minutes until edges are light brown. Allow the cookies to cool on the sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack. Let them cool completely for about 30 minutes. Decorate with candies using a small amount of frosting to attach them, and add some finishing touches with decorating gels.
