Cookie dough snowmen twists - fun and easy to make!
Ingredients:
  • Small multicolored candies
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • Coarse white decorating sugar
  • Red cinnamon candies
  • Miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tube (0.68 oz) Betty Crocker™ black decorating gel
  • Large gumdrops
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Vanilla Frosting (or your favorite flavor), if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, flour, butter, and egg in a medium bowl, stirring until a soft dough comes together.
  • Place a heaping tablespoon of dough on a lightly floured surface and roll it into a 10-inch rope. Then, shape the rope into a circle to form the head and coil the other end in the opposite direction to create the body. Repeat the process with the remaining dough, ensuring cookies are about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Decorate each cookie with a sprinkle of coarse sugar, cinnamon candies for buttons, multicolored candies for the nose, and chocolate chips for the eyes.
  • Bake for 7 to 9 minutes until lightly golden. Allow to cool for 1 minute, then transfer to a cooling rack. Cool completely for about 15 minutes.
  • Use black gel to create mouths for the snowmen. Flatten a gumdrop into a hat shape on a sugared surface for each snowman and attach it to the head with a small amount of frosting.
