Classic family cut-out cookie recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup lard
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, combine butter, lard, and sugar until creamy. Beat in the eggs. In a separate bowl, mix sour cream and baking soda together, then add to the egg mixture. Stir in the flour and salt until well combined.
  • Refrigerate the dough until it's ready to be rolled.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).
  • Roll out the dough and shape it with a cookie cutter. Remember to chill the dough in the refrigerator between each batch. Bake for 5-7 minutes.
