Family-friendly Greek skewers for stress-free mealtime harmony.
Ingredients:
  • 850g beef rump steak, cut in 2.5cm pieces
  • 1 x 30g pkt souvlaki seasoning mix
  • 1 large red onion, halved, cut in 12 wedges
  • Olive oil spray
  • Lebanese bread, to serve
  • Lemon wedges, to serve
  • Greek Style Yoghurt, to serve
  • 1 green capsicum, deseeded, finely chopped
  • 3 egg tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 50g (1/4 cup) raisins, coarsely chopped
  • 82.50 ml chopped fresh mint
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, generously season the beef with the flavorful souvlaki seasoning mix, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  • Alternate threading beef and onion wedges onto the skewers until all ingredients are used.
  • Preheat a barbecue flat plate or frying pan over medium-high heat. Coat the beef skewers with olive oil spray and grill for 2-3 minutes per side for a perfect medium cook or to your desired doneness.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the capsicum, tomato, raisins, and mint. Season with salt and pepper to taste for a vibrant capsicum salsa.
  • Distribute the skewers and salsa onto individual plates. Enjoy with bread, lemon wedges, and yogurt.
