Transform morning pancakes with a flavorful blend of maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil, or as needed
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, combine milk, egg, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, whisking until well blended. Gently fold the milk mixture into the flour mixture until just combined.
  • First, warm up the griddle with 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil over medium heat. Then, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface of the pancakes, which should take 3 to 5 minutes. Flip them over and continue cooking until the other side is beautifully golden brown, for another 3 to 5 minutes. Repeat this process with the rest of the batter.
