Spiced Tilapia with Honeyed Mango-Lime Sauce

Award-winning fish dish with zesty spices and delicious sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 ripe mango, seed removed, peeled and diced
  • Grated peel and juice of 1 medium lime
  • 2 green onions, coarsely chopped (2 tablespoons)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 4 tilapia fillets (1 lb)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable or canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions:
  • Place all sauce ingredients in the food processor and blend until smooth. Set aside until ready to serve.
  • 1. Whisk egg and milk in one dish. Combine Bisquick mix, salt, and pepper in another dish. Dip fillets in the egg mixture, then coat with Bisquick mixture.
  • In a large skillet, warm oil and chili paste over medium heat until combined. Sear fillets in the spicy oil for 4 to 6 minutes, flipping once, until they turn golden brown and are easy to flake with a fork.
  • Arrange the fish on a platter or individual plates, generously drizzle with the sauce, and finish off with a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
