Savory mushroom gravy complementing juicy beef steak - quick and scrumptious skillet meal in 15 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 4 beef tenderloin steaks (4 oz each), trimmed of fat
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped shallots
  • 1 package (8 oz) sliced fresh baby portabella mushrooms
  • 1 package (1.25 oz) mushroom and herb gravy mix
  • 1 cup water
Instructions:
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season both sides of the steaks with salt and pepper. Cook in the skillet for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping once, until cooked to your liking. Remove and cover to keep warm.
  • Prepare the skillet with a light coating of cooking spray. Sauté shallots and mushrooms for 5 minutes. In a small bowl, combine gravy mix with water gradually, stirring until smooth. Pour the gravy into the skillet, deglazing the pan. Cook for an additional minute, then generously spoon the savory gravy over the steaks.
