Delicious muffins inspired by grandma, with the irresistible flavor of cake doughnuts.
Ingredients:
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.33300000429153 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, beat oil, 3/4 cup sugar, egg, and milk. Gently fold egg mixture into flour mixture until just combined. Fill prepared muffin cups with batter.
  • Bake in the warm oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in a muffin comes out clean.
  • While the muffins bake, combine 3/4 cup of white sugar with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Once the muffins are done, dip their tops in melted butter and then in the cinnamon sugar mixture while they are still warm.
