Upgrade your nachos by using potato nuggets instead of chips, topped with seasoned taco meat, melted cheese, spicy jalapenos, creamy sour cream, and fresh diced onions!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (32 ounce) package frozen bite-size potato nuggets (such as Tater Tots®)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 0.75 cup water
  • 1 cup spicy nacho cheese sauce
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.25 cup diced onion
  • 0.25 cup jalapeno pepper slices
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • Spread out the potato nuggets evenly on a baking sheet.
  • Bake potato nuggets in the oven until golden and heated through, 24 to 26 minutes.
  • Begin by heating a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir the beef in the skillet until it is browned and crumbly, which should take about 5 to 7 minutes. Once cooked, drain and discard any excess grease. Next, stir in water and taco seasoning mix with the beef and continue to cook and stir until the liquid thickens, approximately 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Transfer the cheesy sauce into a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir well. Heat in 15-second increments, stirring in between, until perfectly hot.
  • Arrange potato nuggets elegantly on a platter. Layer with meat, creamy cheese sauce, tangy sour cream, fresh onion, and zesty jalapeno slices.
