Create quick and delicious teriyaki beef sandwiches for a speedy dinner option.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 lb extra-lean (at least 90%) ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon teriyaki marinade
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped water chestnuts
  • Dash pepper
  • 2 medium green onions, finely chopped (2 tablespoons)
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 slices French bread (1/2 inch thick), toasted if desired
  • 1/2 small bell pepper (any color), cut into rings
Instructions:
  • Preheat a medium-size contact grill for 5 to 10 minutes. Combine beef, 1 tablespoon marinade, water chestnuts, pepper, onions, and garlic in a small bowl. Form the mixture into 2 patties, each approximately 3/4 inch thick.
  • Grill the patties with the lid closed for 8 to 10 minutes, brushing with 1 tablespoon of marinade, until a meat thermometer inserted in the center reads 160°F.
  • Place the juicy burger patties on soft bread buns and generously crown them with vibrant rings of bell pepper.
