Texas Tommy Hot Dogs

Succulent bacon-wrapped cheddar hot dogs ready in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 8 hot dog buns, split
Instructions:
  • Preheat gas or charcoal grill. Make a lengthwise slit in each hot dog, being careful not to cut all the way through. Cut each cheese slice into 4 strips and stuff them into the slits in the hot dogs.
  • Wrap a slice of bacon around each hot dog and secure with a toothpick.
  • Grill hot dogs over medium heat for about 10 minutes, turning often, until the bacon is cooked. Then, toast the buns on the grill, cut sides down, for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Nestle hot dogs in warm toasted buns and serve promptly.
