Savory meatloaf infused with green peppers and onions, drizzled with steak sauce for an unbeatable weeknight meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 0.5 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 3 tablespoons steak sauce, (e.g. Heinz 57)
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1.25 teaspoons salt
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.25 cup steak sauce, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8x4-inch loaf pan. Mix bread crumbs and milk in a small bowl and let it soften.
  • Combine ground beef, onion, bell pepper, steak sauce, egg, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Use your hands to mix in the bread crumbs until fully incorporated.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the loaf pan and generously brush the top with 1/4 cup of savory steak sauce.
  • Roast in the oven until fully cooked, approximately 1 hour. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Rest for 5 minutes before cutting.
