Coffee-soaked ladyfingers layered with Marsala wine, creamy mascarpone cheese, and rich chocolate in a decadent tiramisu al Marsala dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups brewed espresso coffee, cooled
  • 1.25 cups Marsala wine
  • 4 medium eggs, separated
  • 0.5 cup white sugar, divided
  • 14 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 40 Savoiardi biscuits (ladyfingers)
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate shavings, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Combine the cooled coffee and Marsala wine in a bowl.
  • Whisk egg yolks with half of the sugar until smooth. In another bowl, mix mascarpone until creamy, then fold it into the egg mixture.
  • Whisk egg whites and sugar in a separate bowl with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form; gently fold into mascarpone mixture.
  • Begin by delicately soaking half of the savoiardi biscuits in a tantalizing coffee-Marsala blend. Place the soaked biscuits thoughtfully in a glass dish. Gently coat the soaked biscuits with half of the luscious mascarpone mixture, ensuring an even spread. Dust the layer with half of the rich cocoa powder. Continue the exquisite layering process with the remaining savoiardi biscuits, mascarpone mixture, and cocoa powder, concluding with a generous sprinkling of chocolate shavings.
  • Chill the tiramisu in the refrigerator for a minimum of 3 hours to allow the flavors to meld together.
