Indulge in our flavorful tuna cassoulet, a delicious twist on the French classic.
Ingredients:
  • 1 leek (white part only), thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, finely chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
  • Mutti Polpa Finely Chopped Tomatoes 400g
  • 2 x 400g cans cannellini beans, rinsed
  • 200ml chicken style liquid stock
  • 23.40 gm Dijon mustard
  • 2 x 200g yellowfin tuna fillets
  • 50g breadcrumbs
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 20.00 ml finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
Instructions:
  • In a pan, warm 1 tablespoon of oil over gentle heat. Sauté leek, carrot, and celery for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until they become soft. Mix in tomato, beans, and stock, then let it gently simmer for 20 minutes until slightly reduced. Finally, fold in the mustard.
  • Preheat your oven to 200C and lightly grease 4 individual baking dishes or ramekins.
  • 1. Heat a well-oiled pan over high heat until sizzling. Sear tuna for 1 minute on each side until golden. 2. Cut the tuna into bite-sized pieces. 3. Arrange layers in the dishes starting with beans, followed by tuna, and finish with another layer of beans.
  • Gently combine panko, garlic, parsley, and 1 tablespoon of oil, then sprinkle over the dish. Bake for 20 minutes until crispy and golden. Enjoy with a side salad.
