Prepare a zesty Italian sauce with chili and olives while the pasta cooks.
Ingredients:
  • 375g spaghetti
  • 425g can tuna in oil
  • 1 large brown onion, halved, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 4 anchovy fillets, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp dried chilli flakes
  • 2 x 400g cans crushed tomatoes
  • 125.00 ml kalamata olives
Instructions:
  • Boil pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Then, drain and return to the pan.
  • Drain the tuna, saving 2 tablespoons of the flavorful oil. Transfer the tuna to a bowl and gently flake it.
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, warm the reserved oil. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes until softened. Mix in the garlic, anchovies (if using), and chili and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the tomatoes, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with pepper, stir in the tuna and olives, then mix into the pasta. Combine well and serve.
