Easy quiche: Bisquick® crust filled with quick egg mixture for a delicious meal in no time.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/4 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 tablespoons boiling water
  • 1 cup shredded Italian-style cheese blend (4 oz)
  • 1 cup cooked turkey sausage
  • 4 medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)
  • 1 1/2 cups half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a 9-inch glass pie plate. Combine Bisquick mix and butter in a small bowl until well mixed. Pour in boiling water and stir until a soft dough forms. Press the dough into the pie plate, forming the crust.
  • Top the crust with a generous sprinkle of cheese, sausage, and onions. In a small bowl, vigorously mix together half-and-half and eggs using a fork or whisk until combined; then add basil and red pepper, pour this creamy mixture into the crust.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow it to stand for 10 minutes before serving.
