Impress guests with a waffle and caramelized banana trifle for effortless entertaining.
Ingredients:
  • 10g butter
  • 8.00 gm brown sugar
  • 3 large bananas, thickly sliced diagonally
  • 300ml thickened cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 80ml caramel topping
  • 6 waffles, toasted, torn
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over high heat, melt the butter until sizzling. Sprinkle in the sugar and cook for 30 seconds, allowing it to caramelize. Add the banana slices and cook for 30-60 seconds per side until they are beautifully caramelized. Take the pan off the heat and serve the delicious caramelized bananas.
  • Use an electric mixer to whisk the cream and vanilla in a large bowl until soft peaks form. Drizzle half of the caramel topping over the mixture. Swirl gently with a metal spoon to create a marbled effect.
  • Create a delectable dessert by alternating layers of the creamy mixture, waffle pieces, and banana slices in a 6-cup (1.5L) glass serving dish. Finish by generously drizzling the remaining caramel topping over the top before serving.
