Fall Baking Contest Winner 2010: Delicious Cinnamon Apple Peach Dessert in 3 easy steps.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups sliced peeled Golden Delicious apples (about 3 medium)
  • 2 cups sliced peeled fresh peaches (about 3 medium)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cold butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F and generously grease a 11x7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish with shortening or cooking spray.
  • Combine apples, peaches, and granulated sugar in a large bowl, then transfer to a baking dish. In the same bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Use a pastry blender (or 2 knives) to cut in butter until the mixture is crumbly. Stir in walnuts and sprinkle over the fruit.
  • Bake until topping is golden, fruit is tender, and irresistible aromas fill your kitchen. Allow to cool slightly for 15 minutes before serving warm.
