Try our rarebit steak - a cheesy twist on a midweek favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 80g tasty cheese, grated
  • 35.10 gm Dijon mustard
  • 6.10 gm Worcestershire sauce
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 4 x 200g beef eye-fillet steaks
  • 300g green beans
  • 50g unsalted butter
  • 40.00 ml chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • 20.00 ml toasted pine nuts, chopped
Instructions:
  • Heat up the grill on high. Mix cheese, sour cream, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl. Season to taste and set aside.
  • Season the steaks generously. Heat oil in a frypan over medium-high heat, cook steaks in 2 batches until medium-rare, about 1-2 minutes per side. Remove from heat, tent loosely with foil, and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Blanch the beans in salted boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then drain and coat them with butter and parsley. Top with pine nuts and keep them warm.
  • Arrange the steaks on a foil-lined baking tray and generously spoon a quarter of the delicious cheese mixture over each one. Broil for 2-3 minutes until beautifully golden and bubbling. Enjoy immediately alongside some flavorful beans.
