Wholesome whole wheat waffles topped with honey-peanut butter syrup ready in 35 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat waffle maker and lightly grease with vegetable oil or cooking spray. In a medium bowl, whisk egg whites until foamy, then stir in the rest of the waffle ingredients until smooth.
  • Pour a generous 3/4 cup of batter onto the center of the hot waffle maker from a cup or pitcher. Close the lid as per manufacturer's instructions.
  • Bake for around 5 minutes until steaming subsides. Carefully remove waffle and repeat with remaining batter.
  • In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine honey and peanut butter. Microwave on High for 40 to 60 seconds until warm; stir until smooth. Enjoy with waffles.
